Dunaflat - Opera Romantica Apartment

I searched the net for accomodation in Budapest for 4 people. 2 adults and 2 children. I sent an email for information on appartments and recieved an email quite quickly on what apartment was available. I told them we were interested and how many days we would be staying. The annoying part was that i had to send at least 3 mails explaining the same thing over and over that we would leave on seperate dates. This was frustrating and i got the impression that the communication wasn't the best from the emails.
I was informed that they recommended us being picked up by their driver but they ONLY fittet 3 people into their car. Unfortunatly i haven't been lucky enough to see this car who only seats 3 people lol I must admit that the fact that they didn't seem to read the mail properly and insisting on using their transport services pulled them down on overall rating.

Once we got to the appartment no one answered the door. I had been informed that first a lady would be there but then in a sms i was told the brother would wait at the apartment which wasn't correct either. Instead their mum was there who couldn't a word of english and we spent at least 20 min on making phone calls and talking to the daughter who also didn't inform us of the broken tap in the kitchen that my son discovered after the woman had left. I sent a text message and got a reply that it brok down the night before we came and would write me when she knew something...I must admit i wasn't too impressed but we once we got back from our day out it was fixed. All these little things have brought this apartment to a 2 star recommendation which is too bad since i'm sure it could have been a lot better if they didn't sent me such a bad text message saying "exuce me, I m trying to resolve the problem. I will write you, but at the moment neighter i don t kow anything".

I will not use their services again....

This is also a place that my friend found online. It sure sounded nice before we got there, although there were some questions beforehand.

As we arrived at the appartment, with a textmssg saying to ring the doorbell and the owner would let us in, we found that the owner was NOT there. But his Mom was and she for some reason didn't bother to open the door when we rang. So my friend had to get in touch with the owners sister again and she had to call her Mom to let us in. Not exactly a good start to our stay. However, we were finally let in and then there were some issues regarding the pay. The Mom didn't have change money, so I had to trust that I would get back the change. (Which I did later that night)
After Mom left, we looked over the appartment and one of the kids said that the tap in the kitchen was broken !?? It was, and no one had said anything. So there were another issue that had to be solved. Gudny contacted the owner and just got the respond that the tap had broken the day before! So what? Why wasn't it fixed already?? Gudny was quite mad in her reply to them and told them to get it fixed asap. After this controversy, we decided to go for a walk instead of sitting in the appartment waiting for someone to come and fix the tap.
Thankfully it was fixed when we got back in the late evening.

I didn't care much for this appartment except for the location. It's located very close to the Metro, and also has grocerystores and restaurants in walking distance.

All in all, we did have an ok stay here, but I won't recommend this appartment.
