Where I Go For 'Lengua Estofado' Apr 13, 2011
I loooOOooove Dulcinea’s Lengua dish! ‘Lengua’ means tongue in Spanish, & this dish is exactly that!
It is oxe tongue & it is a traditional Filipino dish. You MUST try it! (It is easier to chow down if you don’t think what it is exactly you are eating.ü)
The meal is served with soup, iced tea & sidings of rice and/or mashed potatoes. It is a tad bit pricey (a little over P300). But the lengua, I assure you, is worth it. Best I’ve ever had.
I was served just nasty tasting soup with the meal the first time I ate at their Megamall branch. But the second time, they served a different type of soup & it was better. So just make sure they don’t serve you the one that I posted above & you should be fine :-)
I also tried their seafood paella (or something like that, Paella Valenciana perhaps?) during my second visit. It was NOT worth it. So I just really mark down Dulcinea as a place to get the best oxe tongue in town ;-)
(Their salpicao isn't bad either!)
