Dukwi is located between Francistown and Nata, close to one of the main access points into the Sua Pan. However, Dukwi is not a travel destination. The Dukwi Refugee Settlement is a camp in Eastern Botswana that houses several thousand foreign refugees from throughout the African continent. Quite appropriately, visitors are consequently forbidden.

2002 undergraduate study abroad trip during my junior year at Pomona College. I spent 4 months living with several families in Botswana, 1 month assisting on a TB surveillance at a refugee camp I was living at, and finally 1 month traveling around neighboring countries, mostly on my own.
