Traditional Menu at the Duke of York Cafe Oct 16, 2010
On trips to the Williamsburg area, we always looked forward to a hearty seafood dinner at Nick's Seafood Pavilion, a Yorktown institution. Nick's closed in 2004 after it was flooded during Hurricane Isabel. Then we heard that the Duke of York Hotel's restaurant had begun serving Nick's old menu! So, off we went to check it out.

The Duke of York Cafe operates as the River Room for dinner on Wednesday-Sunday evenings. (Closed for dinner on Monday-Tuesday.) Nick's collection of curios was absent, but the menu choices looked familiar. Susan and I both ordered Fried Scallops with a Baked Potato. Very good! A tossed salad was also served with dinner. We liked it and plan to return on future visits to the Historic Triangle.

The Duke of York also serves breakfast and lunch daily.
