Was there for business last week (9-12Oct). Very nice little city, but smmes to have cotton on to the fact that Eastern Europe doesn't have to be cheap. Paid £2 odd for a beer and was nearly charged £16 for a football shirt (a kids size i might add)...
There are some nice Irish pubs in the Old Town (it was like being back at home) and the costal view is amazing. The food was nice and I woudl go back again for a short holiday. Buses are good out there. Get a day pass for 25 Kuna and have a travel about. Can't hurt... |

We rested up and donned our Croatia gear for the game against Turkey. We headed back down to Old Town around 7, and did the walk around the high city walls. These walls are quite tall, and go all the way around Old Town. It was so pretty at night, much… Dubrovnik, last stop in Croatia |

Going through customs between Montenegro and Croatia is interesting. You can feel that the relations between Montenegro and Croatia are a little tense; which makes sense considering that Montenegro (as part of the old Yugoslavia ) invaded Croatia along this road in the 1990’s. So we had to get up early to get the bus and head towards Croatia. We left the Albanian border with no trouble but had some trouble getting into Montenegro because of a girl from Mexico... but all is well and we were on our way. Drove through Montenegro to Croatia. Got in early in the evening… Out of the war zone and into.... Croatia! |

The only thing i could think about was coming back to croatia and walking the coast or bringing my bike and cycling it.The only problem with the trip was there was no air con on the bus and it made it somewhat of a sweatfest.The bus drivers also fancied them as rally drivers aswell because some… The Walled city!! |
