Great fun, for kids and adults alike Jun 11, 2011
Right next to Christ Church Cathedral is ‘Dublinia’, an interactive museum on Viking and medieval Dublin. We entered not knowing what to expect, but we were curious to learn more on the Vikings in Dublin.
We found a great exposition with actors and decors, where the actors tell stories about how they make coins, how they live, how they eat. The actual goal audience for the museum is children, but it is just as enjoyable to walk around if you are an adult without any kids (especially if you like to try on Viking outfits :D).
We were very pleasantly surprised with this fun and educational place, it’s a different way of learning about history, you don’t have to read dozens of small printed signs next to all sorts of ancient utensils.
The museum restaurant, though not particularly cheap, has nice sandwiches and tasty pie.
