Incredible location and views at a great price Apr 20, 2008
I've stayed here twice, about 20 years apart. Last time was last summer and the hotel was a bit of a shambles as there was construction going on. But WHAT A GREAT LOCATION!!!. Right on the Seine and all rooms face the river and the Louvre Museum, with huge tall windows that open for the full view. You are in a great location to walk just about anywhere. This is an older hotel that at one time was frequented by writers and poets (Baudelaire, Wilde, etc.). It still has that Bohemian feel to it...and I like that. Rate was about $180 night (summer '07) so great value, but the construction was a mess. If you're considering going you should call and confirm its completed.
