Dreams Punta Cana Resort & Spa

I stayed at the Dreams Resort in Punta Cana in May 2009 for my best friend's wedding. Overall, it was a very nice resort. Only major downside was that it was far from anything else (including the airport...it took almost an hour to get there from the hotel, on a VERY bumpy road. If you get car sick, be prepared!!!). The hotel itself was comparable to other all-inclusives I've been to in Mexico. 95% of the staff was extremely helpful. We experienced only 1 problem with the staff when our rooms were not turned down at night, which resulted in no schedule of the following days activities (which you needed to win "Dream Money" at the evening shows) and our fridge was not filled up with water for the next day. The beach area was very nice; not the clearest water in the Caribbean, but fun to swim in, snorkel and bounce on the ocean trampoline. Food in all the restaurants (especially the French & Japanese) was excellent! Rooms were clean overall; there were some bugs in all the rooms, but that comes with the Caribbean. Be aware though...the walls in the standard rooms are VERY thin! We could hear much of what was going on in the rooms around us. Overall, very enjoyable and would recommend for couples and families who just want to relax on the beach and not do much else.
