Dragor Vacation Guide
Dragør is known for its well-preserved village environment. It is a small fishing village 12km south of Copenhagen on the southern end of the island Amager. Dragør has just over 13.000 inhabitants. You can take bus 350S from Nørreport station or Kongens Nytorv all the way into Dragør! If your are interested in an simple and enjoyable day trip away from the bustling and buzzing of Copenhagen, then this is your answer! If you are courageous enough you can even ride your bike along the coast on Denmark's well established bike paths!
In town you can find a unique vilage atmosphere with small, narrow cobblestone streets, zig-zagging thru residential areas. There are a number of exciting places to eat, interesting museums, delicious icecream and the constant stimulation from life on a harbor! There are so many various, lovely photo opportunities in town like the red roofs and colorful buildings!
Dragør Badehotel is an option for staying the night. It was built in 1907 and has been restored since then, has a wonderful view to the harbor, has a resturant inside, can be used as a conference center and parties and is a 3 star hotel!
There is even a local golf course in the area!
It used to have a ferry connection to Sweden but after the construction of Øresund, the bridge connecting Amager and Sweden, the ferry service shut down.
