Dracula's Melbourne Reviews
An old favourite of mine May 15, 2011
I've been to Dracula's in Melbourne three times now and can't get enough of it! Every time I go to Melbourne I try to see their latest offering.
It's basically a caberet restuarant which has some sensational actors (Melbourne is a city full of these!) which includes a three course dinner as part of your ticket. To be honest, the pricing is fairly steep starting from $74 each but if you're after something different in the city to do then this just might be for you. The whole place has a mystical feel to it although I'm not one for being scared, I still enjoy going.
There is a ghost train that takes you into the auditorium where the show is held and everyone from the bartenders to the waiters are dressed up in ghoulish costume.
Great for a fun night out with friends although probably not for a romantic couple as during the comedy show, they tend to single out members of the audience to make fun of them!!!
The show itself changes every few months and is just hilarious with lots of singing and comedy.
One downside is that unless you invest in a VIP ticket, you have to stand in an often large line out on the street until you are allowed in as small groups (there is a reason for this but it's all part of the show ;) but it's still cold in Melbourne at night).
I've seen reviews for the Gold Coast show but not actually been in myself although people I know who have prefer the Melbourne one as it's not quite as touristy (if that's possible).
Check it out!!!
