 Affordable & Nice Mar 28, 2008
I went here with a fellow traveler from Canada. It was quite nicer than we thought it would be, and was pretty good as far as prices. The waiter only spoke Turkish, but was really nice.
We waited for our food for a bit longer than we thought we would have to, but it was Sunday night and pretty busy. We went at night and the view was more than stellar. |

Made an evening walk around the blue mosque or 'cami mavi' and near to it I had my first Turkish kebab in Doy Doy restaurant with a splendid view on Cami Mavi (blue mosque). This is a nice restaurant where locals go out to eat. We had to wait some 5 min's before a table was free but we were rewarded with such a nice… first meeting with Istanbul |

Doy Doy , which was tucked away on a street outside of the main tourist area. We sat on the top terrace by ourselves (later, another foreign couple came up), while local working men feasted on huge plates of hearty food on the main… Burning up the tourist track in Istanbul. |
