Downtown Inn Chiang Mai

It is in a fantastic location with the night market almost on your door step (but far enough away to be quiet) and a quick tuk-tuk ride to the old city (this can be walked too, takes around fifteen – twenty minutes). It is a typical concrete block style hotel and it very very clean and comfortable which came in very handy when I was bed-ridden with gastro for three days. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for young people who want to socialise and party, it is more of an older couple or family place but if that’s what you’re looking for then it is highly recommended. The breakfast (included in price) was reasonable and there is a swimming pool which is nice.

Ps. As we were checking out we did hear a couple at the counter complaining about their room being covered with insects, but our room was amazingly clean so I am assuming that was just a not so common incident.
