Downtown Hotel (Victoria)

The building was built in 2005 as the first hotel on Gozo. It's listed as 4 star. Well, I would say average 3 star plus amenities is a better description. As homestays on Gozo are ....well if there are any, I could find them. So, this is an good option. It is a hotel and a decent one. There is a pool on the roof with fantastic views (open in Summmer). The building is in good condition. It's a bit out of the center but, the city is so small this is really insignificant. The desk staff is friendly. There is a cafe that, evidently is a hot spot for the locals! It was always busy. The room was large by European standards. It was clean and the bed is comfy. They have exrra pillow!!! The bath is large and even has a tub. I had a balcony with little table and chair. I had a view of the city block by a building. There are mountains views to be had on the other side of the building for extra euro. The hotel is a nice place to stay and is central. If I had my own transport here, I think I would have tried a villa as they are actually cheaper. So, depending on your transport options this may be the thing for you.
