Down Under Bar - Brisbane - TravBuddy

The down under bar is part of the palace backpackers and is located directly underneath the hostel. Australian men are generally not admitted on busy nights - but Aussie girls dont tend to be a problem! Its a good party starter...or maybe finisher, depends what ur style is! If you have ever been to London - it is like a mini walkabout - def on a smaller scale, but the same traveller, fun vibe. If you do not like crowds, having beer spilt on you, loud music, very drunken backpackers and dancing competitions then this is not the place for you!!! If you enjoy all this stuff tho, it makes for a fun night and close to the train station so you dont have to walk too far with tired, sore feet from dancing up a storm! It can get very messy however, and a bit rough, but is generally fairly chilled with everyone there for the same reason - to get drunk!
