Entering Douz is a strange feeling. You can feel the silence of the dessert. Douz is the main gate to the Sahara. It is an experience to take a ride on a camel. (in fact it is a Dromedaris because it has 1 bump on his back) Those animals have their onwn will. Mine was a very grumbler! But as you walk into the dessert you can "hear" the silence! If you are in the evening you can see the sun go down. Spectacular! In december they will have a big event, camel ride races. People from all over the world will come to Douz!
