Doubletree Guest Suites Anaheim

If you're looking for a place close to Disneyland, and don't want to pay crazy rates to stay at one of the official Disney hotels (all of which are more expensive, some of which are not necessarily nicer), then check out the Doubletree in Anaheim. It's just down the street from the resort. Although you can walk to Disneyland from here, it's easier just to drive as parking is ample. Plus, you're in Orange County/Los Angeles, and no one walks anywhere, even if it's only a few blocks ;)

This was my first time staying at a Doubletree and I was pleasantly surprised at the value. The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious. Nothing overly fancy, but very modern looking design, clean, and comfortable. I was especially impressed given that the room was only $100, which was half the price of any of the Disneyland hotels, which were only a few blocks away.

Only drawback - the parking costs money. I forget how much it was to pay for parking, but I think it was around $10.

Additional plus - you get free, warm chocolate chip cookies when you check in! woohoo!

Highly recommended if you are visiting Disneyland from out of town. Or if you are a local visiting and just want to spend the night near Disneyland to save on driving!
