I stayed at a place called, Dos Angeles. It's a family ran mansion (or a huge house) that sits atop a hill. Very friendly. It has a great view of the ocean. The rooms are cozy with a little kitchen. They also offer continental breakfast, surfboard rentals, and a nice pool (but why bother if you're in Rincon-go to the beach!). If you pay cash, it ends up being less than $100/nite. It's not a walking distance from the beach. I would stay here again.
