Dome Buxton England Nov 12, 2017
The Devonshire Dome in Buxton England was built in 1779 by John Carr of York for the 5th Duke of Devonshire to accomodate 120 horses and servants. The Dome is now part of the University of Derby Buxton Collage Measuring over 150 feet the dome is bigger than Saint Pauls Cathedral London. It is the largest unsupported dome in Europe. It is open to the public for free. Well worth seeing. The dome today has a restaurant, cafe and commercial spa. Events are held in the Dome. Today it is part of the University of Derby Buxton collage.
