DollyWood

If you are ever in the Great Smokey Mountains, then you should check out DollyWood Theme Park. The park offers great rides and some pretty cool coasters. The neat thing about the park is that is is broken up into sections and each section has a theme so all the workers wear costumes that depict the ride they are on. Besides rides there is an entire section devoted to the County Fair in which there are games and fun carnival rides. The prizes are great, not like the cheapy ones you sometimes get at carnivals. In almost every section of the park there are shows to see if you want to take a break from all the walking and standing in lines. There is an authentic coal-powered train that takes you on a tour of the park and also offers a great break from walking.

To make things even better, it is tucked back into the mountains and offers some of the greatest scenery. The rollercoasters are built in such as way that the tunnels are carved through the mountain sides. All in all, it is a really great place. The people there are fantastic and very friendly. It may not offer the same kind of fun as Disney or another bigger theme park, but they definately make you feel at home and offer you a great time at a reasonable price. I should know, I have worked there.
