Dolac Market Zagreb Reviews
Nice outdoor Market Mar 13, 2015
Located at north of Trg Bana Jelačića is the famous and colourful outdoor Dolac Market. Opened daily from morning to mid afternoon on weekdays and til 1 pm on Sat/ Sunday.
We came here on Saturday morning to check the hustle and bustle of the local people. The market is organised by products. At the start (lower level) were flowers and plants. Very pretty! When we walk up the stairs, we can see the fruits and vegetables, meat/ seafood section and miscellaneous. Miscellaneous meaning you get from T-shirts, souveniers to household products for the kitchen etc.
I also found out that its way cheaper to buy the souvenirs here as compared to the souvenir shops! The sellers are friendly to tourists, they dont try to shove items in your face or hard sell like in some Asian open/ night markets. They are completely relaxed. They can tell you are tourists but they dont bother you, which i like.
I bought my souvenirs plus some kitchen stuff here ;-)

Dolac Market Aug 13, 2010
Just north of Zagreb's main square, Trg Bana J Jelacica, you'll find this amazing market place.
Walk up the stairs to the open air part which sells nothing but fruit and vegetables. Most of it is from local farmers. Prices are cheap and the fruit really tastes like fruit.
In the northwest corner of the market is the fish market, and if you take the stairs one level down, you'll get to the indoor market which sells meat, cheese, bakery goods and other local products.
Definately worth a visit.
