Dr. Gaston Delgadillo Lora Dec 17, 2010
I went to this doctor due to a intestinal infection. The doctor speaks very good English and French and I overheard him speaking in German. It sounded convincing. (What I know about German could fit into a very small hole on a very small thing.)
The doctor is an older fellow and has worked all over Europe in the past. His English is very good and he has quite a strange sense of humor and is a likable character.
Immediately the doctor began to convince me that I was in need of urgent IV and IM injections of antibiotics. The doctor required me to visit 5 times to receive an injection of 1g of Ampicilin.
The treatment cost $250 US dollars which is very expensive (highway robbery) I have since found out that a standard consultation with a doctor should cost 20 Bs. or approximately $3 USD.
The drugs cost $80USD which a Bolivian friend of mine told me was highly inflated.
too bad for the insurance company.
