If you are not familiar with Cairns, just think of sunny florida, or beautiful Barbados because Cairns is exactly like that: sunny and beautiful. I wouldn't live here (for I was in Cairns during the Aussie's winter and it's HECKA hot, I don't want to imagine what it's like during the summer!). Anyways, when you are here, I highly reccomend snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef; I did it and it was an amazing experience! Trying a kangaroo meat pie is a must as well. Don't worry, the kangas taste like beef!
