Do not use www.passportsandvisas.com!!! - New York - TravBuddy

I write this review with a sad heart, because I feel that the wonderful world of travelers should know the suffering that this company has caused me. When I went on a trip to Spain in December, my beloved passport was stolen. The US Embassy in Madrid reissued a temporary 3 month passport for me to be able to reenter the US. In the beginning of March I sent my temporary passport along with a $200 check to www.passportsandvisas.com, in order to expedite the process of receiving a new passport in time for my trip to Argentina April 15th. 2 weeks went by with no news from this company. I found this alarming as I had chosen the 5-7 day service. I called them hundreds of times, but could never get anyone on the phone. I e-mailed them as well and still no reply. I finally decided enough was enough and called the US Government, whom wasn't that much more helpful. Nonetheless, I discovered that the hold up was that on top of all of the documents I had submitted, they also needed my birth certificate. Now, this agency I went through never notified me of this and had they done so in a timely manner there would have been no problem. I quickly mailed my birth certificate to the US Government. However, because they had to stop processing my passport, I was put on the bottom of the pile again. Thus, I have had to cancel my trip to Argentina and I have yet to still hear from www.passportsandvisas.com.

Update: My passport arrived 1 month after I wrote this review. I was never compensated in anyway, even though the company claims on their website that they offer 100% money back guarantee.
