what an experience....incredible May 09, 2015
This is a fantastic experience. If you walk on the square for the first time you all your senses are making overtime. You will hear the music from the snake charmers or the singing from the mosques (across the square you will find the big koutoubia mosque), you will smell the fresh herbs, fruit and horses and you will see great things, i will try to give you an impression by adding some pics.

except just walking around you have to think about the following things:

Make sure you have some change in your pocket. A fresh fruitjuice or a tip is cheap.

Walk into the medina without a guide and get lost in the narrow streets, you always end up at the square again.

Before you take pictures with yourself and monkeys think about the welfare of these animals, and think twice if you want tot support this kind of animal cruelty

Before you take pictures with snakes make a deal about the tip you are going to give (20 dirham is enough) because if you don't the will ask you 200 dirhams and they can get slightly agressive and intimidating. Never pay and say strong.

Djemaa el Fna at night:

If you think you've seen a incredible place at daytime come back at night and be amazed again.

You will see the biggest open air restaurant with the most delicious food and it's very cheap.

only thing: it's hard to find alcohol. It's there but you have to search for it ;-)
