Dizzy Daisy Hostel Poznan Reviews
Poznan Hostel (Dizzy Daisy) Apr 24, 2011
Keep in mind, i stayed here back in 2007 and this hostel seems to have improved based on what i've seen from their website.
This hostel's only in operation during the Summer months as it's a University dorm otherwise.
I didn't want to arrive late in Warsaw so I stayed here for 1 night just as a place to sleep in between my travels from Berlin to Warsaw.
My room was on the second floor and I felt like i was the only one walking the halls, which is a little creepy to say the least.
From the front desk i walked up a wide staircase, down the hall and turned right to another long, wide, empty hallway for about 50 meters it seemed, then took another right and my room was the first door on the left.
The door knob had one of those old-school locks (no pun) with a thick key which required turning the locking mechanism 5-6 times before opening, which was kinda cool.
I felt like i was showering in a prison which wasn't cool, but i would have been the only inmate and i wouldn't have it any other way!
The room was far from luxury but it was quiet, almost too quiet but i needed a good nights sleep after 5 days in Berlin so i was pleased.
Unfortunatly the water isn't clean, in fact it was a yellowy-brown but i suppose that should be expected in the older parts of Eastern Europe so concider yourself warned. Don't drink the water!
+Overall it's a good place to stay if your looking for a good nights sleep at an affordable price.
