Only worth for old video games, or a day for the family to spend indoors Mar 13, 2013
DisneyQuest is an indoor theme park, located in Downtown Disney. Similar to Dave & Busters, but with the Disney touch, which makes it better than Dave & Busters (which I hate). Requiring separate admission, which basically means, it is not included in your theme park admission. For what it has to offer at the price of $40, I have a hard time recommending it.

Getting to Downtown Disney can be tricky, since you won't be able to board the bus going there from the main bus depot of the Transportation & Ticket Center, but have to walk to the Polynesian Resort, which was what i had to do. Maybe it's due to the construction. Definitely ask a Cast Member to make sure.

And it takes a long time to get there, as there are not many buses running there, and it is one of 3 stops that the bus has to make, as oppose of going directly there. Plus it seems to be far from everything else. So allow plenty of time, if you have a shuttle bus or the last Lynx bus of the day, to catch.

The main reason to come here, to play classic arcade games, where there are many. And they are all set to free play, so you can play as long and as many times you want to. Also, you can actually play "Fix-It Felix", that game from the film "Wreck-It Ralph". It is a lot of fun!

Another highlight is the Animation Academy, where you learn to draw a Disney character. There are different times posted, on the times when a certain character gets drawn. The drawback, is that you can't keep your drawing unless you pay for it. I got around that, by taking a photo of it.

Also, this place is completely indoors, which can be welcome relief from the hot Florida weather. So this can be something that families can do in relative comfort.

But there are other attractions, like Virtual Jungle Cruise, Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride, Mighty Ducks Pinball Slam, Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Buccaneer Gold, among others. Most of them were not really interesting, as I did them once, and had no desire to do them again. The kids, however, may enjoy those attractions.

Overall, DisneyQuest is an okay attraction, but at $40, okay is not good enough. Therefore, only worth it if the family wants to spend a day together indoors, and/or if one just want to play classic arcade games all day long. Other than that, your time and money at Disney can be better spent elsewhere.

Yeah, the same with the one in Hollywood Studios as well. And it's a different character each hour.
