Din Tai Fung (鼎泰豐) delicious dumpling Oct 22, 2008
Din Tai Fung (鼎泰豐) restaurant is very famous for their steam pork dumpling. Each dumpling contains tasty juice inside. You have to eat it whole in your mouth and let the dumpling open up inside your mouth in order to experience the tasty juice inside. We went to FuXing branch which is located in basement of the new Sogo department. You can look through the glass and see the staff busy making the dumplings while you are waiting to be seated.

Din Tai Fung dumpling house! The new Sogo opened only a couple weeks prior so it was super crowded just trying to get to the parking lot.

We headed to an area on Yong Kang that was recommended for dumplings, supposedly better than Din Tai Fung! We found it and decided to stop for a late lunch, early dinner. Their Shanghai fried buns were recommended and were delicious. Their shumei were nowhere as good as Din Tai Fung's and certainly not as pretty… Sightseeing in Taipei |

Din Tai Fung is the name of the restaurant. We finished our shopping - found our cheeses (yeah) and some other interesting things there and ran across the dumpling house. We were hungry so we decided to put our name in...about 30 minute… Another Day of Errands and the BEST Dumplings |

· I also found, thanks to some help from locals on my exploring, a must do restaurant called Din Tai Fung. People queue outside waiting for their food to be ready when they get whisked to their table. This is a dumplings store that started here and is now expanding across Asia . …through the drive back, we were trying to figure out where we wanted to eat dinner and I was really craving the dumplings from the Din Tai Fung restaurant in the Sogo Shopping Center. I talked Brett into taking me there depending on what time we arrived back in Taipei. The drive back seemed to take forever as the thought of those dumplings were making me salivate!
