Excellent mid-range traveller boutique hotel Jun 09, 2008
A fantastic little boutique hotel only minutes from Khao San Road.
Costs around 17 GBP per room per night for bed and breakfast. Rooms are small but very compact, beautifully decorated and clean and the service here is excellent. A great hotel - I'd highly recommend it! |

Lovely Oct 27, 2009
Diamond House was the first place I stayed outside of my home country. We booked it online a few weeks prior to arriving in Bangkok from Australia and they were very efficient in responding to my emails and the room was avaliable when we arrived about two hours later then advised. There is a small lift so stairs arent a problem and the rooms are spotless and lovely. The bed was pretty hard but sleepable and quite normal by Thai standards as we'd come to realise. While the bathroom it self was spotless and perfect, the only issue is the door is very thin and even has a gap between the top of it and the roof so I would only recommend sharing a room with somebody who you are very comfortable with otherwise there may be some embarassing moments. The rooftop was beautiful to sit and watch the streets below and the spa looked great, although we didnt get around to using it we saw people who did. The staff were very friendly and kept the place extremely well, the breakfast was great as well. Only a two minute walk to Khao San road and a short tuk tuk ride to the royal palace and other attractions we loved the Diamond House and highly recommend it for travellers of all ages and backgrounds.

Great mid-scale hotel Sep 29, 2009
Great hotel near khao-san. I'd compare it to a 2.5 star. Clean, good service, just a little removed from Khao San so its quieter. Personally if I go back to Bangkok I would stay in the Sukumvit area, but for someone going for the first time who wants to see Khao San, I'd definately recommend Diamond House.

Great secure hotel near khaosan rd, Bangkok Sep 10, 2009
Having just spent 3 nights in this great little gem (excuse the pun) located right in heart of everything ya need here in bangkok, I feel the need to share it to one and all, This place two blocks from the tourist trap of KhoaSan rd and a stroll from the excellent river ferries, which are a quick, cheap and easy way thru the whole city, faster than tuk tuks or taxi's for a fraction of the price, sorry back to the hotel itself, for around £25 you can stay in the Top o the house Diamond Suite Highly recommend this one but book it early as you dont want to miss out we unfortunately only got one night there and had to move next door which was'nt bad either but for 300 baht more, much bigger.
The staff were very helpful & friendly, the wifi free, the rooftop jacuzzi out side our door was cleaned everyday & open till 9pm...Nice. the place felt extremly safe, and we had no problems or drama's, with our stuff, the food in thier restuarant was delicious, but expensive so I would suggest finding cheaper places, Mango's top tip* go across the river to under the Somdet phra pin klao bridge where you can get the biggest all you can eat selection BBQ/Steamboat for a mere.... wait for it,99 Baht, there is a ferry for that too great for couples and groups wicked atmosphere, there ya have it hope this is helpful..Peace |
