Barcelona Diagonal Avenue Jun 11, 2008
Diagonal Avenue,
Maybe the most important and long avenue in Barcelona with over 19 km long and 50 metres wide. If you come to Barcelona for business or for holidays you should go to Diagonal Av. This avenue cross all the city in “diagonal” and at the end of it you will find the Mediterranean Sea. There is the Financial & Business Centre with the most important banks and companies, the Barcelona University, Shopping centres (Corte Ingles), Luxury Hotels (Hotel Princesa Sofia or Hilton), Sports centres, Barcelona Hospital, Congress Palace, Restaurants and Pubs. In Diagonal avenue is possible: walk, running, bicycle and to take the buses and new “tranvia = monorail”. I recommend you to rent a bike or walking. Ahhhhhhh, and don´t miss the streetlamps. |

nice shopping mall in barcelona Jul 23, 2008
the shopping mall "DIAGONAL MAR" is little bit outside the core of the city... but you can reach it easily with a 10-15 minute subway-ride...
take the yellow line (subway) and get out at the "El Maresme" station... - lots of different restaurants : mexican, german, korean, chinese, burger king, ben&jerry's, american pub ... - lots of fashion brands : pepe jeans, desigual, jack&jones, esprit, energie, esprit, quiksilver... - dvds, cds, book stores : fnac, mediamarkt i'd recommend that mall, beside the more popular one at the harbor area... (which actually isn't any better) Part of the Barcelona 2008 travel blog |
