Devenport Vacation Guide
Named after the English naval town of Devonport, this lovely little maritime village is a harbourside suburb of Auckland's North Shore. It is best known for its incredible views of central Auckland and its dining and drinking establishments.
Only a short ferry ride from the CBD terminal or a scenic drive across the harbour bridge this little 'burb with its sweet heritage charm boasts speciality shops (like the chocolate store) and boutique accomodation. The perfect place to go for a day trip, you can stroll along the beaches and picnic on the grass with the beautiful views in the background and there are often wine and food festivals held in the area. There is also a playground for small children as well as a Naval Museum and the Devonport Museum which follows the history of Devonport since it was settled in 1840.

So after the rain cleared it became another stunningly beautiful warm sunny day. I headed out on the ferry to Devenport, which I think is a little suburb of Auckland. Totally fell in love! It's the cutest town ever...could totally live there! Well, I only saw one section of it down by the wharf but…
