Downtown Detroit's Go To Hotel Jul 15, 2014
Hotel Stay for July 11th and 12th, 2014.

First off I would like to focus on a couple of areas that has triggered the Detroit Marriott at Renaissance Center to be an awesome establishment. Those areas are the views, location. From the time I walked in my mouth dropped. This hotel was massive with beauty. Not only were the river views breathtaking but the architectural designs gave phenomenal elements. Location location location, what else can I say. Well positioned in the heart of downtown Detroit. This Marriott property allows you to leave your car and venture out. As many mentioned before it is really easy to get around on foot and is safe to a degree but every big city has safety precautions. The valet parking was hectic because there was a lot going on, but well organized with a kiosk and a visual on your car process. I wish they had a parking garage near that gave in and out privileges for a flat fee because this could eliminate the valet congestion and help those who just like having their car keys. Yes the hotel is massive but if you are paying attention its easy to explore. Just remember, from the first floor lobby just take elevator to 3rd floor and from there you will have the elevators to access your room floor. The building is a full circle so its hard to get lost. As other reviews mentioned, within this Marriott there are many eating options that will fit your budget also shops. Now for the good ole nightlife. I was there during the weekend and I all have to say is wow. Crossing over to Beaubien Street to the strip and yes walking, was easy and amazing. From casinos to dive bars, this was nightlife heaven. So if you are traveling solo and looking for an adventure this hotel should be your one stop shop. Even if you are looking to tour the city by car, the 75 freeway is right at your doorstep.
