Derag Hotel and Living Hotel Grosser Kurfuerst Berlin

This is probably the best hotel I've stayed in during all of my European travels.

It's located literally right next to the subway station, and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, the Märkisches Museum and Spittelmarkt. When I first entered the hotel, I was really amazed at the layout of the lobby area and the rest of the hotel that I could see. The front desk staff were consistently courteous and maintained a professional bearing.

The room I had was modestly spacious compared to other european hotels I've stayed in. The modern furnishings and everything else looked so new like they just opened up the hotel. The bathroom was very clean. The bed was very comfortable for me. I slept very good each night I was there. Their mini bar was elegantly arranged on one side of the room.

They offer laundry services should you require it. The TV has enough channels to keep you entertained and caters to several different languages.

Breakfast was included in the price of my hotel reservation. It's essentially a serve-yourself buffet like in most hotels and includes a good spread of croissants, bread, meat and cheese slices, cereal & milk, fruits, and a variety of juices. An attendant is there to bring coffee to your table should you request it.

I loved the hotel bar! The hotel has many other amenities I didn't get a chance to check out or experience.

I highly recommend this hotel if you plan to visit Berlin.
