    Well, we wanted an adventure, and we definitely found it here in Bolivia!!! That´s for sure. Getting to the border was an UNFORGETTABLE trip!!  We thought the Sucre journey was tough, but after this one, when we looked back, that one was a piece of cake!!! It took us 3 LONG days to finally cross the border in Paraguay, but we did it!  Again, our only option available was to journey on more trucks. Another first for us, we had the pleasure of being transported with a truck ...

    I was told that the roads were blocked to Potosi. When I bought my ticket to Tarija, I thought the bus was going to go east via Camiri and drop down. I had no idea that the bus was actually going to go through Potosi. Had I known I think I would have chosen to drop all the way down to Yuni. The only problem would be trying to get back via Potosi and down to the border. Although I was a little upset, I think I made the right decision. The bus did head down to Potosi and there was a road block....

    Today was paleontology day. Our guide picked us up from the hotel in the morning and started right away with explaining everything we were about to see, in Spanish.....   Jose was translating for us, but judging from the endless stream of words coming from the guide and the one sentence translation that would follow, we missed most of it.  Arriving at the site we forgot everything we'd heard about fossils and pleistocene anyway. Initially we found the panorama far more interes...

    Ahhhh Bolivia...... we left Santa Cruz along with Timo and the 3 Aussie chicas and off we went on our long day bus to Salta, Argentina. Well this was not to be.... First of all we came across a road block, about 1 hour away from the Bolivia/Argentina border. With news that the block would not budge til the following day we piled off the bus and walked to the other side of the road block and got onto a local `micro`bus to the border town. After arriving, we got held up by the Argentine border...
