After escaping the zombies in Tegucigalpa, we decided to head to Copan, the site of the world famous Copan Mayan Ruins. We left the capital really early in the morning, meaning we were extremely tired, or in other words, meaning we slept passed our bus conection city. The ruins at Copan are really awesome.  It is amazing to see what the world was like hundreds of years ago.  The ruins are unlike anything you could imagine in our times.  There are altars and monuments for rituals the likes of which we could never imagine these days.  The stone carved city is amazing.  It must have been quite a site in it's time.  I did not hire a guide but bought a little map that was for sale at the visitor center.  The map was quite help…

We arrived in Santa Rose de Copan 1 jalone and 3 bus rides later for a total of at least 8 hours travel time. Not to mention the bus between San Pedro Sula and Santa Rose was extremely HOT!
