The province of Cajamarca is located in the North Andean zone of Peru. Located at the feet of the mountain Santa Apolonia. Its origin goes back to the pre-Inca times. It's an historical province with diverse geography.

It is interesting to visit the archeological remains of the place, aqueducts, petroglyphs and sanctuaries of pre-Inca times.
Tourist Site Attractions include: oldest National Park of Peru - Cutervo - it bears hundreds of species of flora and fauna and has caves and caverns of Cutervo. The pre-Hispanic tumbs of Montealegra and the Ventanillas de Tumbaden (pre-Inca necropolis). National Sanctuary Tabaconas Namballe, devoted to preserving and protecting a foggy forest with flora and fauna of that region.
