Denver Downtown Aquarium
Denver Downtown Aquarium Reviews

The Downtown Aquarium is pretty artsy and fancy looking, but quite frankly way overpriced for the experience. Adult tickets were $14, children were $8, plus parking for $6. It is clear they tried to make the restaurant a hip and cool place, which I think affects the atmosphere of the aquarium. Music was way too loud (couldn't even hear the other people in your party). Plus I found it odd that they had rattle snakes and tigers (I thought this was an aquarium??).
The good stuff: The sharks and their large tank (plus there were scuba divers cleaning the tank and the manta ray tank. Everyone can pet or touch the manta rays in the shallow pool they swim around in. My recommendation - go to the Denver Zoo instead. They had plenty of fish and sea life plus tons of land animals for a fraction of the cost. Part of the Denver, CO (Nov. '07) travel blog |
