Den Tatoverede Enke Copenhagen Reviews
A place with many different Belgian beers in Copenhagen Dec 21, 2010
The tattooed Widow as the straight translation end up at, is a small bar in the amusement area called Boltens Gaard. The bar is situated in the cellar and you can hardly find the bar if you don't know it. The bar is well known for it selection of especially Belgian beer and whisky's. I have always enjoyed coming here because it is a place in the inner city that seldom is crowded. The service is friendly and most of the bartenders have a passion for the products that they sell. It is one of the few places in Copenhagen where I can get one of my beers from Belgium; Cuvee de Trolls; I have to say that they are also quite expensive (+6€ each).
When you walk down the stairs to the place you find the bar almost in front of you. The bar has probably 8 - 10 seats and it takes a lot of space of this little place. Another thing that is quite clear is that being situated in a cellar, the place is quite dark all year round.
The floor is made of concrete tiles that are colored and the tables and chairs are made of quite plain material; it is not a place that you sit down at and enjoy the Danish design. This is a pretty old school bar; it is made for talking and drinking.
