Degraves Street Travel Reviews

Cafe Culture Mar 13, 2008
This is a cute little lane called Degraves Street in the heart of the Melbourne CBD. It's packed with tiny little cafes, with the best coffee found in Australia (who makes coffee better than the italians?).

It's average priced if you want to sit down and have something to eat or drink, but it's a nice quick walk down a beautiful and lively laneway.

You can walk along this laneway until it turns into an arcade and then comes out on Collins Street.

You can also try the Cause Arcade which is a lot smaller, but still as cute.

if you want information on how to get to these places, or anywhere in the Melbourne CBD go to Bourke Street (the block between Swanston and Elizabeth) and there's an information booth (and sometimes they're just wandering around) where they'll tell you anything you want to know about where you could or should go, and how to get there.
Sorry if it seems like I'm selling this info booth, but they're awesome and have helped me many a time when I need to go somewhere.

niki1013 says: So many climbs in the one location!!! I love this place!! It is certainly worth the drive (about 5 hours from Melbourne). There are climbs for all levels of experience! Araps gets very, very, very busy over the easter weekend so you might have to wait for climbs - but the atmosphere is fantastic ...
