Fresh take on modern sculpture Feb 20, 2011
deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum features great modern sculpture in an inviting natural space. The park covers 35 acres with works scattered throughout. The multi-story musuem highlights smaller works with a different exhibit on each level.

During this visit, I spent an hour taking in the current exhibits by Rachel Perry Welty and Lucien Aigner among others. I could have spent even longer outside if the weather was a bit warmer. Once summer returns, I will be back with a picnic - the park is worth a visit even without the fantastic artwork.

Admission was $12 for adults ($10 with AAA) and $8 for seniors, students and children 6-12. Under 6 are free. Parking is included in admission. Tours are available for both the park and the museum. While the park and store are open daily, the museum is closed on Mondays. Hours vary by day and are different for the various parts of the park.
