This hotel is located exactly in the middle of the golden region of Alentejo, in the small, whitewashed Moorish town of Moura. The folklore, handicrafts, monuments, history, architecture, cuisine, wine, music and traditions of the region of Alentejo all reflect its remarkable past, during which Romans, Moors and Spaniards successively left their mark. The hotel was founded in 1900 and is housed in a former convent building of the Militar Order of Sao Joao de Deus dating back to the 17th century, and set adjacent to the old Santo Agostinho Church, and the Olive Oil Museum of Moura. Nowadays the hotel benefits from the comfort of modern technology without losing its ancient features. The hotel comprises a total of 36 rooms (triple, double and single rooms), and 3 apartments. From Evora take the IP2 to Portel and then the N384 (local road which passes in the Alqueva Dam) to Moura. From Faro take the ''Via do Infante'' motorway, then the A2 to Ourique. Exit the A2 and take the IP2 to Vidigueira. At Vidigueira turn onto the N258 towards Moura. From Spain entering at Rosal de La Frontera, go to Vila Verde de Ficalho, then turn right onto the N385 to Sobral da Adica and there turn left and take the local road 255-1 towards Moura.
