Trendy & romantic restaurant with exquisite dishes Jun 18, 2010
This trendy place is awesome! It puts a cool, modern spin on Flemish classics throughout: from the food, decor and service. Very slick but with substance all round!

There are a number of different menus as well as a la carte. We were keen to have mussels on our stay so went for the Flemish Menu for 33€:

- Complimentary mozzerella ball taster

- Mussels to start were huge and excellent quality. Some of the best I've had!

- We shared our mains: a fish stew (with scallops, salmon and delicious creamy sauce) and a Flemish beef stew with fires and mayonnaise. Both were delicious.

- A belgian chocolate mousse was the pefect end.

The service was very slick and attentive yet unobtrusive. Quite friendly yet still Belgian-brusque. The atmosphere was really homely yet cool. We were the last to leave as we loved it there so much.

My only complaint would be the size of the helpings which is not a bad thing! Really recommended.

And added local tip: a Bruges local girl we met said that her fiance took her here for their first date. Magic happens here...
