Days Inn Chicago Reviews
Days Inn, Chicago, Diversey Sep 23, 2011
Michelle and I went to Chicago for a surprise birthday party for her son-in-law. She found a great hotel, not far from the loop, and in a great neighborhood.
Days Inn was surprisingly nice. Really nice! Coming into the lobby, the staff were very attentive and welcoming. Although not large, the lobby was very clean, and well furnished. There was only one small elevator, but the wait was never long. Hotel security looked to also be very good. There was always staff at the entrance and you could only access the elevator with an active room key.
Our room was huge, probably the biggest I've ever stayed in at a Chicago hotel, and I've stayed in some nice ones over the years. We peeked into a few rooms while they were being cleaned and it looked like most of the rooms were large, with the exception of the singles.
Beds were luxuriously comfortable with down duvets and pillows - lots of pillows!
Bathroom was not elegant, but sufficient and well lit. There was also a huge closet, dresser, and desk.
This hotel also has a free breakfast bar of the usual fruit, cereals, waffles and pastries. Internet access is also available at no additional charge.
If you ever find yourself looking for a hotel in the Chicago area, and don't mind being a short loop ride from downtown, you'll find this area to be very nice with lots of restaurants, bars and shopping. It was fun to explore a new area, and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
