Days Inn Bar Harbor

We chose to stay at the Bar Harbor Days Inn because of its location on Mt Desert Island and close proximity to the downtown Bar Harbor shopping district. Resonably priced for its location, (a little over $500 for 3 nights, for 2 adults) It was a great starting point to explore Acadia National Park. The nearest hotels we could find in the same price range were on the mainland, about 7 miles away... so this was much more conveniant. Located across the street from the "CAT" ferry to Nova Scotia, it is a two-level hotel, with all rooms facing the ocean. Clean, comfortable rooms, with a hair dryer and coffee maker in each room. They said that they had a pool and fitness room that we could use located in their sister hotel across the street and down the road a bit, but we never got motivated enough to check it out. They also offered a continental breakfast every morning, with muffins, toast, cereal, yougurt, fruit cups, hard boiled eggs, english muffins, etc. as well as fresh fruit, like apples, pears and banannas. A nice place, we would stay here again!
