Datca Overview

The Datca Peninsula is a long, narrow and hilly finger of land that stretches west of Marmaris for about 100km. Throughout history, it is known as separating the Mediterranean and Aegean seas.

Datca offers tranquility, simplicity, unspoilt natural beauty and a countless string of secluded bays to explore. As you drive along the narrow twisty road from Hisarönü towards Datca, you'll catch glimpses of turquoise sea through pine-clad ravines on both sides and nothing but a couple of tiny villages and dramatic scenery will be seen before arriving in Datca.

Datca, with just 8000 inhabitants is on a peninsula surrounded by nature. Its location is unique: North of the peninsula is the Aegean Sea and at the South the Mediterranean Sea. From the peninsula you have a panoramic view on the Greek islands Kos, Simi and Rhodes. The village is famous for its high oxygen level in the air and the low humidity. Even in the hottest summer months, a gentle breeze will allow for a pleasant stay.

During your vacation in Datca, you can join the daily boat tours to explore the virgin bays of this peninsula, hang-out in the town and open bazaar where you can find hand-crafted souvenirs, you can visit the old village and see the traditional local architectural style houses made by stone, or you may visit the ancient city on Knidos.

If you are a party person and if you wanna party hard, then you may visit some local bars, or after 1 hour travel, you can get Marmaris to enjoy the nightlife!
