so i am finally up to date on my blog! boy its taken a while! and i still have some of marc's photos to add to the kakadu part! that can wait till alice i reckon! so we've spent 4 nights in darwin, in luxury...ok, a bed! we went to the N.T. museum and art gallery (very informative and interesting!) then on to mindil beach night market. if you only do one thing in darwin this is it apparently. heaps of food stalls and art and craft stalls, as well as free entertainment as you walk around! var…

I went to Australia with a program called People to People Student Ambassador Programs, founded by United States President Eisenhower in 1956. We went to many places around the country and it was an amazing journey! Please enjoy the blog! (I am sorry for not updating it fully, but it will be done soon! Thank you for waiting!)

I visited Darwin in 2007 and again 2008.  In 2007 we visited Katherine, Kakadu National Park then Kunnunurra.  Went on a boat on Lake Argyle, one of the most beautiful places I ever visited. 

Nous voila de retour à Darwin pour retrouver notre van... Une longue longue route nous attend (une fois de plus)... Pour la première fois depuis le début de nos aventures australiennes, notre moral n'est pas au beau fixe... Nous devons nous « remettre » dans notre voyage après ces deux semaines de « vacances ». Il faut dire que nous retrouvons le van qui a pris l'humidité... et les odeurs qui vont avec... Mais bon, ça aussi ça fait partie des voyages! …

my round the world trip...

We make it to Darwin to meet P's bro and nephew. We did a quick tour around Litchfield NP on the way up. We go to Mindl Beach markets and watch a show called the "Amazing Drumming Monkeys" which becomes the boys obession for the next few weeks because we but the DVD.

Australia I - I went on that trip with my best friends! We had a fun time there!!

After dumping the bags we have a little walk..... Darwin is not my type of town! Its really a party town for the NT - kids everywhere - clubs and bars full of drunk teens - what is this! Its the wrong place for this - why is it here! I can see the camper parked in the yard across the road - the company is right across the road from the hostel ... good planning Karina! time for some sleep .........
