Dartmoor Zoological Park - Dartmoor - TravBuddy

Dartmoor Zoological park,used to be known as Dartmoor wildlife park has had a new lease of life in the last year.After years of the place letting itslef get more and more run down and eventually closed down i am pleased to say that this place is now back open.
When it was known as Dartmoor wildlife park the conditions of the zoo got into a real state,and some of the animals were living in some disgraceful enclosures.
But luckily it was saved from complete closure and some if not most of the animals from being put down by a man called Ben Mee.He bought the zoo and started to do a massive revamp which the place was in serious need of.There was also a tv programme that followed it all,and they had some nightmares where a wolf escaped and the jaguar escaped into the tigers cage,but finally they got the zoo back to where they needed it,and after recently visiting it i can say they have done well,with more work still going on credit should go to Ben Mee on turning this zoo around.
I can recomend this place as it is set in a very interesting wooded area.
