Traditional Moroccan Food Mar 24, 2012
Traditional Moroccan food, the type of food Moroccan people eat at home. You can either pre-book your meal or turn up and have the tagine of the day.

On our first visit we just turned up and we ended up having the tagine of the day, which was Kefta tagine. This restaurant works a bit differently to other places, it is just like going to someone's house to have a meal. They serve a variety of fresh vegatable starters (we had four different dishes), then you get the tagine as the main coarse, then the desert. All of the soft drinks and breads are included in the price. The price is fixed and was 250DH per person for our meal. We found the cost to be very good value for money.

We returned to this restaurant 2 days later, this time we pre-booked our meal and went for the chicken tagine, well what can I say, if you want a great cooked meal then this is the one to go for.

The restaurant has a good ambience about the place, there are a variety of seating arrangements, the first time we sat on the terrace, the second time we went for a private room on the upper terrace, they also had a courtyard seating area.

In my opinion, if you want traditional Moroccan food, then Dar Najats Kitchen is place to go.

Best food of the holiday Jul 15, 2012
For a truly Moroccon experience -you must come to Dar Najat and try their food.

It is a lovely luxurious riad, 5 minute walk from the main square. Beautifully decorated with authentic Moroccon art, soft music playing and gorgeous romantic lightening -plus you can have a dip in the jacuzzi. Also very quiet as it is small. You get excellent service from lovely staff.

I highly recommend the lemon chicken tagine -although they also do amazing cous cous. The kitchen is also spotless.

I ate in many places in Marrakech and can honestly say that this was the best meal i had. Cannot fault at all.

It used to be that only guests at this fine riad could enjoy the outstanding food...But not anymore! When I heard that they've opened their doors to everyone looking for outstanding Moroccan food at competitive prices, I just had to review it separately!

The food is excellent (probably a larger portion than you could hope to finish) and is really, really good. Just as good as the food is the unique ambience of Riad Dar Najat and its splendid staff. If the weather is nice (and it usually is in Marrakech), having a meal on the rooftop terrace under the stars, with its soft lighting and cool mood music is highly recommended. You can also order wine & beer with a meal, which can't be found everywhere in the medina. (The FEAST that was offered up on New Year's Eve was out of this world, by the way.)

If your mother was Moroccan, she would feed you meals like this place serves up!
