A quick comparison in prices: The three
rip off hotels provide two beds in a room, with SHARED bathroom for
1200SYP ($26) a night. There is no towel, soap and you don't even get
a top sheet on the bed, so you sleep under dirty blankets. Hotels
around Martyrs Square provide a double room, en-suite, tv, towels and
soap… Rip off Hotels and a lovely Old Town |

The bath had several large rooms with stone bowls close to the ground, each one with two faucets, -- very hot and very cold. The entire bath area was filled with steam and you could barely see a few feet in front of you. We filled up the plastic bowls and ran around… The Arabic Bath |

The final stop was as exquisite palace room all made from wood and inlaid panels. No pictures could be taken!!! But we did buy the book showcasing the best of the museum.
At this point I really needed a restroom. Unfortunately you had to pay and we had NO Syrian… Our Day in Damascus......success! |

We started with 15 minutes of sauna, before heading to a steam room where we could was ourselves with a piece of genuine Aleppo soap (famous for its unique composition with olive oil). After this we were led to a small corner in the bath house, where one at the time we had to lie down on the floor… Day 14: Back in Damascus |

We were taken through passport control and to a room in the back. Now, technically we are on Syrian soil. I am a bit worried. There were about eight officers there at first. The first officer was joined by another one and they asked us what were doing in Syria and what our professions… Denied, Detained,........Damascus |
Damascus Room Information and Description
The apartment has two beds - Full Kitchen including Microwave, Television and Telephone.
Western clean toilet and shower inside the apartment. Nice View from the Terrace, quiet secluded neighborhood.
In Damascus we are within easy walking distance to Hamedieh Souk, Omayade Mosque and Syrian National Museum.
Owner has big experience in tourism business and would be happy to assist you in any way, whether arranging tours or car rental. We can arrange a car rental for you if you require, for 50 $ US per ...(see more)
