Dalyan is a small town in the turkish province of Mugla. It is situated on the Dalyan river, which opens into a wide delta into the mediterranean sea. To get to the beach from Dalyan you can go by boat or you can go by bus to another beach, Iztuzu.
Also only minutes by boat is the lake Köycegiz where many tourists go by boat on a day trip. All the water around town makes it very peaceful, although there is also a lively night life with several pubs.
Once a week there is a basar where you can buy just about anything. Fake brand articles are very popular but also the famous and delicious turkish tea is offered.
For culture-interested tourists there is the city of Kaunos, which is an antique town and can also be reached by boat.
