Dalton Hotel and Suites Victoria

I thought the best part of this hotel was the location. It's always nice to be right next to places of interest, but what's even better is if you're a few blocks away and it's a scenic or interesting stroll to where you need to get to. The Dalton Hotel and Suites falls into that second category as it's about an 8 minute walk to Inner Harbor, Victoria.

Other than that - the only plus was the incredibly comfortable bed. The service was so-so, the building was really old, the bathrooms were tiny and tiled - I hate tiled bathrooms!! Two large beds basically took up the entire room. I think I recall a 15 inch TV set somewhere in the room on a rickety old table.

But the location is fabulous. Tons of good food and convenience stores across the street, movie theatres next door, and free parking at a teeny lot on the corner if you can nab a space! I think our room was about $130 canadian dollars for a weekend night in the middle of summer (high season).
